Palu was born in Athens in 2021 with the purpose and vision to unite my two greatest loves as a brand designer, fashion and sports. Being an active athlete in volleyball and a graduate of Northumbria University in Newcastle, England, on a scholarship, I returned to Athens in 2020 to create my company. The first collections of the brand did not take long to get established in the Greek market with the Palu girl being referred as “the girl with towels”. My inspiration was to bring to the city the feeling of summer, the season that finds us wrapped in a towel every day and the season I dedicate to beach volley.
Nostalgia, playfulness and romance are three of the elements that are almost never missing from the brand’s clothes. Retro cuts, comfortable textures, lots of color and vibrancy are the main characteristics of Palu, as are the women who wear them, elegant, active and dreamy.
Today Palu is in Exarchia. It’s a warm and inclusive space, you can come with your coffee, try on the clothes and the handmade jewelry, discuss about fashion and styling, tell stories and even share ideas, as the brand’s atelier is also located there.
My plans for the future are quite a few but definitely what I hope is to be able to maintain the good quality of the brand’s clothes, to experiment with fabrics, textures and designs. I would love for people to be inspired by my idea and for the Greek public to be liberated in the way they dress. My two loves, fashion as creation and sport with its childishness, bring us all closer together in a romantic way.
